iShop Changi Wines

The business has undergone the global expansion process with international offices currently in Australia, China, France, Italy, Japan, Macau, Singapore, the USA as well as Vietnam.

ishopchangi.com is the online store of DFS in Singapore. This website includes all types of items sold at Changi Airport, from cosmetics, wine to food, and high-end items. Customers can choose tax-free items on the site, which are 30-day-refund without buying directly at the airport. Customers can also go to the airport because iShop Changi’s counters are available at every terminal and are available 24/7.

In Singapore, recognizing that winery is a specialized market that needs to be branding separately, DFS Group would like to run a new ecommerce website that only sells wines and related products, operated along with other existing systems from Changi Airport Group (CAG) – ERP, Changi Reward System, HRM, and Cybersource payment gateway. Its mission is to deliver products right to customers’ doors or ready for pickup at the airport.
With the aptitude to develop ecommerce systems, SECOMM team have started working from highly complex vital features:

– The complicated product data structure

– Very winery look and feel with branding materials from DFS and CAG

– Composite order processing workflow, purchase rules,…

– Multiple customer groups with different promotion policies

– Various administration roles to have different access levels for each of the admin users

To come up with the requirements, we have to solve the issues that happened when iShop Changi Wines has complicated pricing calculating and displaying systems. The website also requires integration with multiple orders.

Those challenges lead us to brainstorm solutions for the website. Since the beginning, the website system has carried on effectively working and served various product types that make customers completely satisfied. The mentioned solutions are:
